Sonali Shakapure
Clinical Physiotherapist
She is a compassionate and experienced physiotherapist who has been delivering high-quality care since qualifying in 2019. She brings a well-rounded clinical background with a focus on personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation across multiple specialisms.
Her career began in neurological rehabilitation, where she was part of multidisciplinary teams treating patients recovering from stroke and traumatic brain injuries. This foundation developed her strong understanding of movement dysfunction, neuroplasticity, and long-term recovery strategies.
She later expanded into women's health physiotherapy, delivering tailored support for women during pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and managing complex pelvic floor dysfunction. Her commitment to holistic care led her to explore chronic pelvic pain, including support for women with dysmenorrhea and endometriosis.
In 2024, Sonali completed her Master's degree in Clinical Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth. This advanced training deepened her clinical reasoning and exercise prescription skills, further enhancing her effectiveness in treating musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions in private practice settings.
She combines manual techniques with active rehabilitation to treat a wide range of patients, using approaches such as Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), Myofascial Release (MFR), acupuncture, and hydrotherapy to optimise outcomes.
